TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE ORDERS

By accessing, browsing or using this website, you agree to the conditions and terms stated.

Elaine’s Cakes may amend these conditions and terms from time to time and any amendment will become effective immediately.

CONFIRMATION OF ORDERS

Upon receipt of your order you will be emailed a copy of your invoice. Please ensure all contact details, personal information, spelling of names, delivery/collection dates and any requested changes have been properly documented on your invoice. If not, it is your responsibility to notify us immediately.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

For orders that have not yet been delivered only:

We accept cancellations and will provide a full refund if orders are cancelled 24 hours prior to the specified delivery date, and if we have not started preparing the order. Orders cannot be cancelled on the day of delivery.

DELIVERY

We deliver in Cowes, Phillip Island and selected surrounding suburbs by prior agreement only. Delivery takes place between 10am to 11am on the day selected.

If there is no one to accept a delivery at the specified address and time, the order may be left at the door (if it is safe to do so). Please note we will not be responsible for “melted” or “damaged” product as it is the customers responsibility to attend to the cake. If there is no where safe to leave the cake or the driver can not access a building, the number registered with the order will be contacted. If the customer can not be contacted, the cake will be returned to Elaine’s Cakes and you will need to arrange an alternate pick up.

Should the delivery address supplied by the customer be incorrect or insufficient details (including contact details) are provided, Elaine’s Cakes cannot accept any responsibility. It is the obligation of the customer to supply accurate details at the time of order.

If we are supplied with an incorrect address or the customer wishes to change the address on the day of delivery, the cake will be re-directed back to Elaine’s Cakes and you will need to arrange an alternate pick up.

ALLERGIES

Ingredients are listed on the website for each cake. Please contact us if you have a dietary requirement that requires a recipe being changed as not all can be changed. As all cakes are prepared in the same kitchen, even if stated otherwise, all our products may contain trace allergens, such as gluten, nuts, soy, dairy and eggs.

CAKE DESIGN

All cakes are hand made which means variations will occur. All product images on our website are chosen to depict the inside of the cake, therefore the cake you receive may differ from the image supplied.

STORAGE

Buttercream covered cakes, naked cakes and cupcakes should be refrigerated in the box in which they were delivered, and removed from the fridge and brought to room temperature prior to serving.

Ganache covered cakes should not be refrigerated, but stored in a cool, preferably air conditioned room, out of sunlight.

Once cut, cakes should be stored in an airtight container or plastic wrap in the refrigerator. Sliced cake and cupcakes can also be stored in an airtight container and frozen for up to 3 months.
